Greetings from our 20 acre off-grid homestead in the Ozarks.
We are non-religious, four wheeling, gun toting, tree hugging, wood burning,
craft beer drinking, antisocial socialite libertarians who happen to be
vegetarian. We’ve recently added a baby to the mix and Jennifer has turned out
to be the most awesome mama ever, happily assuming the role of mama, teacher,
and protector of our son. With the arrival of the boy, the loss of sole source
of income, and the need of the latter to care for the former, we’ve landed in
Springfield, MO, in an urban setting, for the time being. We’ve worked things
out where the boy is always with one of us while the other may be tending to
other tasks, such as the all important paycheck earning jobs. Homeschooling or
unschooling is in our near future. We are always looking to meet other like
minded individuals, couples, and groups. So far, we have yet to find any other
off grid living natural parenting vegetarian atheists who are true
libertarians. But, hey, two out of four wouldn’t be bad! Give us a holler if
any of this sounds interesting. If you
want to know more, you can find us on thegrayhomestead.com.
We are confirmed atheists.
We aren’t the pushy, in your face kind of atheist. We just don’t believe that there is an
omnipotent, omnipresent being that created man (or anything for that
matter). How did we get here? We don’t know. But we are pretty sure that we didn’t get
here the way that any of the religions of the world believe we got here.
So, our child will be raised to think for himself. We will attempt to shield him from some of
the things that help to indoctrinate the young into the belief of a deity. We
are taking responsibility for helping to stop the cycle of religiosity.
